About

Who is behind this

Hi! I'm Ariel, and I was a SysOp from roughly 1985 to 1997. I ran multiple boards and probably tried just about every BBS software out there. I was feeling nostalgic about BBS's and wanted an easy way for anyone to connect to one, or run one, so the idea for ATDT BBS was born. Now all you need to experience an 80's style BBS is a web browser, and to set one up, just regular, inexpensive shared hosting!

This is a hobby project for me. I'm also writing a novel, working in an executive job, and working on my PhD. As you can imagine, time is limited, so I'll be working on it off and on as time permits. Due to the ease of use, I hope to see a bunch of ATDT BBS systems pop up. Let's bring back the BBS!
